ABOUT THE ATTORNEYS AT COTLAR & COTLAR
Andrew D. Cotlar
Andrew is a general civil litigation attorney, appearing in both state and federal courts in a wide range of matters. Andrew has been representing individuals and businesses in Bucks, Montgomery and Chester Counties since 2006 and has been in practice since 1999 when he graduated from the Dickinson School of Law, Pennsylvania State University. Andrew is admitted to the Pennsylvania and District of Columbia Bars, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Prior to his career in law, Andrew taught philosophy at Dickinson College and Gettysburg College. Prior to entering into private practice, Andrew was in-house counsel with the Association of Public Television Stations in Washington, D.C.
In addition to his JD, Andrew holds an M.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and a B.A. from Vassar College. Andrew, his wife and two children live in Bucks County. Andrew is also a competitive Olympic-style fencer, a sport he has engaged in and loved for over 40 years, and plays classical piano as well.

Steven A. Cotlar
Steven has over 50 years of experience in Pennsylvania litigation. He has appeared in both state and federal courts on a wide range of matters, representing both individuals and corporations. Steven is admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
Steven graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1969. He also holds a B.A. from Penn State. From 1969 to 1971, he was clerk to the Honorable Edmund V. Ludwig, after which he was an associate with the law firm of Hartzel and Bush in Doylestown. From 1972 to 1990, he was a partner in a local general practice civil litigation firm, and from 1990 to the present, he has been in solo practice, which has evolved into the present firm of Cotlar & Cotlar.
Steven and his wife life in Doylestown. Steven enjoys classical music, playing tennis and hiking in the woods.
